They Like Me! They Really Like Me! 2017 Liebster Award!

Royalty-by-Grace 2017 Liebster Award

I am beyond thrilled to share that I was nominated for the Liebster Award for new bloggers by the talented Edie Emory from She Who Has Believed! Thank you, Edie, for believing in my blog! Make sure you check out her blog!

Liebster AwardThe Liebster Award is an award for those who are new to blogging – 200 followers or less. This award is a great way for people to recognize all of the hard work that goes into creating a blog.

Royalty by Grace is about encouraging people when times feel dark and empty and to encourage followers to serve actively in God’s Kingdom.  I share a lot of my testimony of God’s influence in my life and how He created light out of those dark moments. Those of us who write blogs, pour ourselves into it! That is why it is so encouraging to be recognized for my work and to encourage others in their work.

The Liebster Award, like most awards, has certain criteria to be met.

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you for the Liebster Award.
  2. Link back to the blogger who awarded you.
  3. Upload the award to your blog. It can be done as a blog or on the sidebar
  4. Answer the questions you have been asked.
  5. Nominate 5-11 blogs with followers less than 200 that you believe deserve to receive the award. If you feel others deserve the award, then you are welcome to nominate more.
  6. Notify the nominated bloggers so that they can accept the award. Bloggers can be nominated more than once, giving their readers more chances to learn more about them.
my ‘Interview’
  • What has been your biggest challenge with blogging?

Honestly, it’s finding time to get everything done. I’ve had so many changes over the last few months, finding time to blog has been challenging. Recently, I was hired at a new job, meaning I’m going to reschedule how I do things again. Only God knows how my blog will turn out and how the schedule will work itself out.

  • What is your number one tip for other bloggers?

Have grace with yourself. I understand the need to meet deadlines and have good quality content. But life happens. I have struggled to meet deadlines and what not at times. Sometimes our focus needs to be on our families (fur babies included) or on our jobs (unless blogging is your job, which I hope for someday). Allow yourself to not post on your social media on certain days. Schedule social media and don’t post on some days for certain outlets. And if you forget to post your post … take a breath … maybe someone needs to read it next week.

  • What are your hobbies other than blogging?

I love to sing! I sing all the time. My favorite time to sing is when I’m singing to Jesus. AND I love to play games with my family. #familygoals

  • What successful entrepreneur do you admire and why?

I would have to say … blogger and entrepreneur Abby Lawson from Just a Girl and Her Blog. Abby’s niche is mostly organization and decorating. She also has content about how to set up your own blog. Her content, both blog posts and for sale items, is applicable to daily life. Plus, the way she writes is really easy to read.

  • Who is your favorite blogger and why?

I would have to say Carmen Brown over at Married by His Grace. She has a refreshing combination of getting down to blogging business content and God filled encouragement for family living. It was her post on How to Start a Christian Blog Step by Step that got me through starting my blog. She is always quick to respond when emailed or messaged with a question.

  • Tell us about your blog and why you started blogging.

I started blogging because I thought God was going to give me my dream job with it … lol. I wanted a job I could do on my own time with a flexible schedule so I could take care of my family fulltime. Alas … that’s not what God has had in mind. However, I praise Him because His plans are always better than mine and I have gotten so much out of this journey so far. I can’t wait to see what He does next.

  • The item you can’t live without.

My Bible. I carry my Bible with me and I use my YouVersion app as well.

  • What and who motivates you to write?

God. I enjoy writing posts inspired by God’s influence on my life. Also, I am working on writing more about tangible ways of serving in the name of the Lord. Inspiration for those posts comes from my personal experiences and others who pour into others.

And, last but most definitely not least,

My nominees, these questions are for you to answer on your blog! ‘Break a leg’!

  8. What and who motivates you to write?

I just want to say thank you to my husband, Jay, and daughter, the Fiery Red-Head, for being supportive and patient as I work on my blog. Thank You, Jay, for proof-reading my content. I love you both. Thank You to my mother-in-law, who reads my posts, comments on my devotionals, and likes my Fb content. She lets me know if I missed something and tells me when she enjoys what she reads. Love You. Big thanks to my friends who helped me through the planning of my blog, your feedback and encouragement have been monumental.

And I want to thank God! My Father, my Shepherd, and my King! He gave me this calling and has improved my life more than I can say.

Have a Blessed Day Y’all,

Royalty by Grace
